Robert Oster Signature is an Australian ink company, famous in the fountain pen community for their quality inks. When I first started using fountain pens in highschool, I spent many hours browsing the range of Robert Oster colours, making a wishlist of inks I hope to purchase one day. It is surreal that in 2024, I got the opportunity to work on this project with Robert himself, and introduce these beautiful shades. Speaking of which...

I inked up my Pilot Elite E95s, extra fine gold nib with the Day to Night ink, and it’s amazing in my 2025 Hobonichi Cousin. It’s a gorgeous dusky plum color, does not feather, minimal shadowing except where I laid ink down heavily, and no bleed through. See pics. Look higher for the TWSBI Eco, fine nib with Private Reserve Tanzanite for a comparison example of notable bleed through. Highly recommend this ink for Tomoe River paper.

Nice color to add to my fountain ink collection. It is a nice purple and dries quickly. First Robert Poster ink purchase.
I got back into fountain pens because of this collab. As this was my 1st Robert Oster ink, I didn't know what to expect. It is such great quality that I have since purchased other RO ink samples. Its got a nice amount of shade variation. Its very quick drying on paper (10sec), but doesn't dry in the pen (even after a week tested).

Beautiful ink in my signature color!
This is a really nice ink. I think of it as a very subtle dusty purple. The images above are a really good indicator of the true ink color.
This purple ink changes colour once it’s dried. I absolutely love it!
I really love the shade of this purple. It is deep enough to see and use on most papers and still be legible. The purple is a very unique "plum jam" as I would describe it and different from most purples I have seen on the market.

Pics don’t do the ink justice. Absolutely beautiful color. It has beautiful undertones of blue and green when the ink is layered and shades so nicely. A must have.
